The Director will oversee a portfolio of Microsoft programs supporting approximately 30–40 FTEs and associated contractors, with P&L accountability for assigned programs. This role partners closely with the VP of Microsoft Technical Solutions for technical oversight and with the VP Strategic Solutions to support recompetes and post-award growth opportunities. While accountable for delivery performance and growth, this role does not own technical solution architecture or presales execution. We help organizations modernize applications, transform infrastructure, and unlock the value of their data through rapid adoption of Microsoft technologies. This position is a member of the Leadership Team and we are looking for this person to be based in the Washington, DC area. Their Responsibilities Include: Program & Delivery Excellence Lead execution of awarded Federal Microsoft programs, ensuring delivery meets all contractual, technical, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Ensure compliance with federal regulations, security requirements, and program governance standards. Own delivery planning, risk management, and issue resolution across programs, serving as the primary escalation point for delivery-related challenges. Establish and maintain effective delivery rhythms, including program reviews, performance reporting, and customer status communications. Ensure delivery outcomes support customer satisfaction, renewals, and recompete readiness. P&L Ownership & Financial Management Maintain accountability for P&L performance across assigned programs, including revenue attainment, margin targets, forecast accuracy, and cost control. Partner with Finance and Contracts to manage program financial health, including labor mix, utilization, and subcontractor performance. Proactively identify and address risks that may impact margin or contract performance. Organic Growth & Contract Expansion (Post‑Award) Identify, shape, and execute organic growth opportunities within existing contracts, including task orders, scope expansions, and option year planning. Work with the VP Strategic Solutions to support recompete positioning, pipeline development, and transition from capture to execution. Partner with the VP of Microsoft Technical Solutions to assess delivery feasibility and technical implications of expansion opportunities. Provide staffing models, ramp plans, governance and delivery realism during proposal development for programs expected to fall within the Director’s portfolio. Flagging assumptions that could impact margin, performance or client satisfaction. Ensure delivery performance directly supports growth objectives and competitive positioning. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary delivery-facing relationship owner with Government Program Managers, CORs, and key stakeholders. Lead customer engagement meetings focused on delivery performance, roadmap planning, and performance improvement. Build trusted client relationships that position TrueTandem as a long-term partner and support contract continuity and expansion. People Leadership & Workforce Management Lead, mentor, and develop Program Managers and delivery team members across the portfolio. Ensure teams are staffed appropriately with the right skills to meet contract and growth needs. Support performance management, professional development, and retention of delivery personnel. Foster a culture of accountability, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Alignment Partner closely with the VP Microsoft Technical Solutions to ensure delivery aligns with approved technical architectures and solution intent. Coordinate with VP Strategic Solutions on recompete timing, customer intelligence, and transition planning. Collaborate with HR, Finance, Contracts, and Security to ensure smooth program execution and lifecycle management. Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Program Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 12+ years of experience delivering IT solutions in the Federal sector, with demonstrated accountability for program performance. 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple federal programs or a portfolio of programs. Proven experience with post‑award program execution, including cost, schedule, scope, and quality management. Demonstrated P&L accountability, including revenue delivery, margin management, forecasting, and financial risk mitigation. Strong understanding of Federal contracting vehicles, task orders, option years, and contract compliance requirements. Experience managing programs leveraging Microsoft-based solutions (e.g., Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC High, Power Platform, Dynamics) at the delivery level. Proven ability to identify, shape, and execute organic growth opportunities within existing federal contracts. Experience supporting recompetes and post‑award growth captures, in coordination with Business Development and Capture teams.
