You'll join a team building **next-generation PCB design automation** algorithms. Your core impact is architecting high-performance C++ systems for **routing, optimization, and physics simulation**. This role stands out for its work on **superhuman circuit board design** with a $25M Series B startup.

You'll join the Placer Team to build AI that automates component placement on PCBs. You'll own problems end-to-end from **research through production**, working across optimization, ML, and geometric deep learning. This is a fully distributed role with high autonomy and ownership.

You'll build bridges between Quilter and the world's leading PCB CAD tools, working in a **Python File I/O codebase** to parse and generate complex CAD formats. You'll help shape Quilter's internal **PCB representation** as we expand support for new tools. This role offers a genuine opportunity to **master AI-agent workflows** for reverse-engineering and integration.
