💼 About This Role

You'll build shared tooling and manage migrations as part of the Platform team at Wheely, a premium transportation scale-up. You'll write high-quality Go code and implement new microservices while helping us migrate away from a Ruby monolith. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Write high-quality, performant code primarily in Go.
• Implement new microservices while migrating away from legacy services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists on technical designs.
• Optimize system responsiveness under heavy load for latency and reliability.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years experience building scalable backend services.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in Go, Python, C++, Java, or Ruby.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Go in production.
• Experience with Thrift or gRPC.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
