💼 About This Role

You'll design and develop firmware for robotics research applications in Locus Robotics' Advanced Products Group, a cross-functional team exploring emerging technologies on 2-4 year roadmaps. Your work will integrate and enhance real-time control systems for autonomous mobile robots. This hybrid role is based in Nashua, NH with occasional travel to Wilmington, MA.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop software for integrating and enhancing robotic capabilities
• Focus on real-time control of multi-DOF systems and state estimation
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure reliability and performance
• Provide ongoing maintenance for integrated robotic systems

📋 Requirements

• BS or MS in CS, CE, EE, or related field
• 7+ years of C programming on bare-metal microcontrollers
• Experience with embedded microcontroller peripherals (interrupts, timers, DMAs, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
• 5+ years of robotics experience in diagnostics, motor control, lithium battery systems, sensor interfacing, or bootloaders

✨ Nice to Have

• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using oscilloscopes
• Experience in a Linux environment and ROS
