💼 About This Role

You'll own Plain's data foundations, building the warehouse, core models, and customer spine that product, GTM, and engineering teams rely on. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive data quality, in-app reporting, and the retrieval layer for AI features.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Rebuild data warehouse with clean pipelines and unified event taxonomy
• Deliver trusted, reusable data products anchored on customer/account spine
• Stand up data observability: quality checks, freshness, lineage, schema drift
• Own in-app reporting for support leaders to make data-driven decisions
• Enable self-serve analytics through dashboards and documentation

📋 Requirements

• Built modern analytics stacks end-to-end from zero, more than once
• Strong with SQL, BigQuery, and dbt/Dataform
• Experience building user-facing analytics or AI retrieval layers with real-time data platforms
• Care about data quality, trust, and reusability as much as shipping speed

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Tinybird or ClickHouse
• Experience at a fast-growing startup
• Familiarity with customer support domain
