💼 About This Role

You'll join the team building and operating Xero's internal AI platform, the engine that powers AI across the organisation. You'll work on shared infrastructure like secure LLM gateways, shared SDKs, and platform foundations for safe, scalable AI deployment. This is a hands-on infrastructure role where you'll sit at the intersection of platform engineering and emerging AI capabilities, helping shape the future of agent-driven products in production.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and evolve the agentic platform for deploying AI agents into production
• Develop platform components using Python, AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Build evaluation and observability tooling for responsible AI use
• Evolve the AI Gateway for secure, scalable LLM access

📋 Requirements

• Strong, production-quality Python
• Solid cloud infrastructure fundamentals: Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Operational mindset with care for reliability and documentation
• Genuine curiosity about AI and its infrastructure
