💼 About This Role

You'll join a new AI Engineering team building foundational AI capabilities for mental healthcare at Talkiatry. Your work will directly impact how AI is safely deployed in healthcare, from prototyping to production rollout. You'll collaborate with senior engineers, product, clinical, and data teams to build LLM and agentic AI systems that improve patient and clinician workflows.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build frontend and backend services for AI features
• Develop and iterate on agentic AI systems with reasoning and tool use
• Implement RAG pipelines and retrieval tuning
• Establish evaluation frameworks and quality metrics

📋 Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• 1+ year of LLM or agentic AI production experience
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills
• Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks

✨ Nice to Have

• Healthcare or regulated environment AI experience
• Familiarity with HIPAA or clinical AI safety
• Experience with observability and evaluation of AI systems
