💼 About This Role

You'll design and build the data infrastructure for a rare-earth magnet manufacturer, from pilot to full-scale facility. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational requirements into a durable, scalable data architecture. This role has the opportunity to expand into a team leadership position as the company grows.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and own the data architecture from operational stores to analytics and AI layer
• Build ETL pipelines that enrich and contextualize data from manufacturing systems
• Define data models supporting operational queries, analytics, and AI applications
• Evaluate and select platforms for the data Lakehouse, ETL, and databases

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience designing and building data lakes or Lakehouses
• Strong experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Deep fluency with data modeling for operational and analytical workloads

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB) in industrial settings
• Familiarity with industrial data concepts (historian, OT/IT integration)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises tradeoffs
